Stephen Gant

Co-Founder & Executive Chairman

Steve Gant is a pioneer in the field of identity audit and access control solutions. Prior to founding Trusted Network Technologies (TNT) and its subsidiary, vmSight, Gant served as VP of business development and solutions management for Internet Security Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in intrusion detection software and services. He was responsible for leading their product strategy, business development, product management and partner alliance programs. Gant also served as VP of consulting and education (worldwide) and director of Latin American Operations for ISS. Before ISS, Gant managed the Uplink Signal Processing division of Galaxy Latin America for General Instrument (GI-MCS). As a captain in the United States Marine Corps, he managed a sensitive special intelligence program under the direct supervision of the U.S. Ambassador in Colombia where he received commendations from the U.S. and Colombian governments. Gant is an expert on national security matters and has worked extensively with law enforcement and intelligence organizations such as the FBI, DEA and CIA. He received a B.S. in Physics from Auburn University.


Jim Matheson

General Partner, Flagship Ventures


Jim Matheson joined Flagship Ventures in 2000 and focuses on new ventures in the IT and special technology arenas. He brings to this task 20 years of technology and leadership experience across a variety of organizations and roles designing, engineering and deploying sophisticated technology platforms. A former Navy fighter pilot and TOPGUN Instructor, Matheson continues to serve as a Commander in the US Naval Reserves. Matheson earned an MBA from The Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Science (with honors) from the United States Naval Academy. He serves on the boards of Flagship portfolio companies Avidimer Therapeutics, e-Dialog, Genstruct, Mascoma Energy Corporation, Novomer, Tira Wireless and Trusted Network Technologies. He is Chairman of the Board of Ze-gen and is on the Board of New York-based hedge fund Black Horse Capital, Common Impact and the Center for Women & Enterprise. Matheson is actively involved in numerous entrepreneurial and venture capital organizations including the MIT Enterprise Forum, The Deshpande Center, and The Service Academy Business Network.


Tom McNeight

Consultant, Software and Security Industries


Tom McNeight is a software and security technology veteran having served in key roles ranging from sales executive to President and Chief Executive Officer. McNeight was the President and CEO of GuardedNet, Inc., a security information management (SIM) software company acquired by Micromuse, which was subsequently acquired by IBM.  He also served as a top executive at Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISS) where he was responsible for building the field operations. Prior to ISS, McNeight was the Vice President of sales for TSW International, a provider of plant maintenance and management software, and before that, President and CEO of Aurum Software a leading sales force automation company subsequently sold to Baan International.  His career also includes a fifteen year tenure with Dun & Bradstreet Software (formerly Management Science America) rising from sales executive to Executive Vice President of the Americas, responsible for a $345,000,000 business unit. A former commissioned officer in the United States Army serving in Europe and Southeast Asia, McNeight received his BA in Chemistry from Oklahoma State University and his MS in Management Science from Texas Christian University.


Tasha Seitz

Partner, JK&B Capital


Ms. Seitz joined JK&B Capital in 1997 and has focused on the software sector, working with companies such as Interwoven, Andromedia and Synchrologic. Prior to joining JK&B, Seitz was an information technology industry analyst at Gartner Group advising Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients in their implementation of technology over a five-year strategic planning horizon. She worked in the areas of Local Area Communications and Applications Development & Management before founding Gartner's Multimedia service in 1993. While at Gartner, Seitz advised on electronic publishing and led efforts to deliver research to Gartner's clients in multimedia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wellesley College and a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Seitz is on the Board of Directors of Bluefire Security Technologies, Novarra, Trusted Network Technologies, Reactivity, Baynote, SnapTell, Treemo and Anchor Intelligence.


Ken Walters

President, Financial Solutions Group, Infor


With more than 25 years' experience in the information technology and software application market, Ken Walters is a veteran in the industry. He has worldwide responsibility for developing selling, servicing and supporting Infor's Financial Management solutions. Walters served most recently as CEO of Extensity, a financial performance management software company acquired by Infor in August of 2006, and before that as president and COO of Infor, where he played a key role in growing the company's revenue from $35m to over $800m. Previous experience also includes senior executive positions at HiddenMind Technologies, Internet Security Systems, Impact Innovations Group, Coopers & Lybrand, Dun & Bradstreet Software, and Emerald Systems.
